Staszek Wawrykiewicz left us on the 7th February 2018. For ever. Suddenly.

He was with us TeXies from the very beginning, as TeX emerged in Poland, toward the end of the eighties, using TeX for, among others, typesetting underground press.

Then we founded GUST. Staszek was there, of course. He wholeheartedly took part in GUST's various activities – the bulletin production, organizing BachoTeX meetings, preparing GUST's TeX and font packages. Recently he concentrated on the cooperation with the TeX Live team.

But foremost he was – as a friend, as a helpful and well-disposed colleague (it is difficult to count up all the computers where he installed TeX), as a person popularizing TeX, as a musician, singer and guitarist, and as a human – very much needed by all of us.

It is difficult to imagine our world without Staszek...

Erre azért rácsodálkoztam egy kicsit. :)
Mert míg a DEC "nagygépei" -> Compaq -> HP útvonalon kerültek a kukába, sejtésem szerint a HP nagygépes ágazata sem tűnik hosszú életűnek, az IBM... lehet, hogy ők húzzák a legtovább?
