Megjelent a 2.6.22-es kernelfa legujabb javítása a 2.6.22.6-os, mely több bugfixet is tartalmaz (netfilter, ipv6, sky2, usb, sparc64 ...)

It was with sorrow that we learned of the death last month of David S. Rushby, aged 27, in a drowning accident in the Black Sea at Anapa, Russia. David has been the sole developer and maintainer of our KInterbasDB Python interface for some years. For the last nine months he worked as project manager in the information technology division of Tander, Inc. in Krasnodar, Russia. Our sympathies to his parents, Mr and Mrs W. F. Rushby, of Blue Grass, VA, U.S.A., and family.

Our correspondent notes, however, that many Microsoft partners have joined the voting committee in the meanwhile, so the result could be a replay of Sweden's experience.

The day is fast approaching when the comment and voting period for ISO/IEC DIS 29500, the draft ISO specification based upon Microsoft's Office Open XML formats, will either be approved or not. As Sept. 2 comes closer, Microsoft appears to be stuffing the ballot boxes of some countries' ISO organizations while open-source and standard organizations are firing back with furious words.

Szeretem a sört, kemény munkára jól esik. Igaz, hogy már vége a nyárnak, de azért 15 liter így is le fog csúszni a napokban :D Megleptem magam 3 Soproni bulihordóval.

A hűtőt egy kicsit át kellett rendezni, mert a hordócskák nem fértek el benne. Néhány felesleges dolog (tej, Coke, zöldségek, stb.) és az egyik polc eltávolítása után sikerült bepasszíroznom őket a megérdemelt helyükre.

Nem a Debian lesz az egyetlen disztró, amely a Mozillának a Firefox, Thunderbird és Seamonkey nevű programjait Iceweasel, Icedove és Iceape néven fogja szállítani. A Gobuntunak sem felelnek meg a drákói márkanév megkötések.

Nem, nem en vagyok az a ceg :-)

Az xorg-server 1.3 -as verziójától kezdve lehetőség van 'menet közben', az xserver újraindítása nélkül állítani a felbontást, a külső monitor elhelyezkedését ('kiterjesztett képernyő'), illetve a képernyő elforgatását. Ezzel sokkal rugalmasabbá vált a többmonitoros környezet beállítása, hiszen nem kell minden használt monitor modeline beállításait tárolni, ezt futásidőben képes felismerni a driver. Mindehhez legalább 1.2-es verziójú XRandR kiterjesztés (és parancssori program) kell. Erre az eszközre épít például a grandr nevű gtk -s gui is.

A következő howto leírja hogy lehet fixen xorg.conf-ból illetve futásidőben állítani a videókimeneteket (a driverspecifikus részek az intel-2.0.0 feletti driverre vonatkoznak)

Tegnap felhívott a párom közölte munkaidőbe, hogy meghalt a vinyónk.
Megszerkesztette a grub-ot hogy lássa miért nem bootol és egyertelmüen az ata volt a hiba.
Hazaértem inditottam livecd-t. Ubi 7.04 nemidnult. Pont azt produkálta mintha vinyórol indulna. Végülis 6.04 elindult, de fsck hibával nem indult el.
Badblock fut tegnap 19h tol. Még nem végzett. Remélem legalább a fotókat le tom menteni, többi pótolható.

Vettem vaterán egy táblát. Viszont mivel az e-mail is a vinyón volt, így azt se tom hova kell utalni. :(

Hétfő elaludtam.
Kedden egy php szivatott 4 órán keresztül.
Szerdán tönkre ment a vinyóm.

Újratelepítettem régi öreg jó gépemet, mivel Szegeden felejtettem a laptop töltőkábelét (csúnya buli volt elötte) persze szokás szerint szinte semmi nem ment simán, ám a problémák 90%-ra a hupon találtam megoldást. Szóval köszönet a hupnak!
Áttértem a ubuntu-ra Suse 10.1-ről, nos első tapasztalatok kb annyi, hogy hű baszki ez de gyors. Nem lehet összehasonlítani a ketőt. Van szabad memóriám. meg ilyenek.
Egyetlen gondom az, hogy miután feltettem a nvidia drivert, a max felbontás 800x600 lett, és nemis tudok nagyobbat beállítani. Nemtom erre hogy keressek rá... Amúgy kubuntut használok.
