Végre hozzájutottam hogy evvel is piszmogjak egy kicsit!
Érdekes dologba szaladtam bele:
Adva van kettő db SATA1 disk WD800JD. Régi tervem hogy megnézem "mit hoz a konyhára" a RAID0. A két disket feldugtam a SIL3112 -re. A diskek külön-külön 60 MB/sec hoztak a hdparm szerint nem pufferelve (ez persze gyors és inkább becslés). Felépítettem a RAID0 - mindíg imádom ha bejön az elmélet - mintegy 110 MB/sec -ot kaptam :) Előkaptam egy régebben készített kis teszt scriptemet, ahol 1G file -okat generálok a /dev/zero és a dd segítségével (az utóbbi kiírja az idöt). És egyszer csak arra lettem figyelmes, hogy zörög panaszkodik a kernel a DMA -ra :( Elkezdtem keresgélni, (badblocks) végül úgy találtam hogy az egyik (kb. 3 éve vett disk) rendetlenkedik. Aztán egy laza mozdulattal az egyiket felkötöttem az Intel féle SATA -ra. Mit ad isten a jelenség teljesen megszünt, minden zöld :) Furcsa jeklenség %)

Egyébként Debian Lenny - nem tatláltam olyat ogy update-pciid !?
Viszont upgradeltem.
Előjött egy másik furcsaság. Nem tudtam boot -olni, a /dev/hda1 (MBR -ből). Sok mindent kipróbáltam, végül az segített hogy kihúztam a SATA diskeket, bebootolt. Majd visszatettem őket, megint bebootolt!?
Fura egy jószág, sajna nem találtam hozzá BIOS update -t :(
