xfree vs. xorg

Helló, kérlek segítsetek, melyiket érdemes használni a kettő server közzül?

hát újabban a xorgot nyomatják, xfree-vel valami nemteccikarencer van licenc körül, úgyhogy gondolom haladjunk a korral :-)

Tegnap a stabil sarge debiánomat frissítettem Etech-re! Gondoltam haladok a korral és
kipróbálok újabb programokat, meg úgy szép az élet ha zajlik.

Az Xfree4.3-at felváltottam Xorg7.0-ra. Én nagy gyorsulási eredményt nem tapasztaltam (azért az újrafordított(újabb gcc-vel) kernelem meg a csomagok frísítése azért jót tett),
fordítottam újra az AtiX600-hoz drivert(már nem a 2.95gcc-vel:) ).
Jó persze linuxon az atik nem egy nagy számok!

Ezeke után nekileselkettem egy XGL beállításához, az eredményem az lett hogy beleütköztem
egy glib bug-ba:).
Így tehát nem lett Xgl-em.

no most frissítettem xfree-ről xorgra és nincs x hibaüzi no core pointer.Nemtom mitévő legyek

szerintem ennél azért kicsit érthetőbben kéne... habár én valószínűleg nem fogok tudni segíteni, de azért a többieknek segíts egy kicsit. most egyrészt azt írtad hogy nincs hibaüzi, másrészt meg írsz valami hibát, akkor most mi van? mi írja ki, mikor stb... meg alapvetően milyen rendszered van (vga), ezt milyen felállásban használod, nvidia/fglrx, vesa:), akármi...

Isten hozott mindenkit a Debian világában!

Sikerült életet lehelnem a videokártyámba, innmáron az xorg stabilan fut.
Köszönom mindenki segítségét.
Csak nagy vonalakban a tegnap estétől:
->Kósza ötlet villant a fejembe: frissítsünk sarge-ről etch-re, a gondolat
tetteket követ.
->Hosszú procedura utén kész a frissítés, reboot->nem megy xorg
->Tegnap estétől ma kb 10-ig szívás a serverrel, egér és touchpad hiba, no such
/dev/psaux és usb-k(ez utóbbi utólag derült ki). Csak úgy merő véletlenségből
modconf :-) láss csodál egy csomó minden nincs beforgatva/engedélyezve a
kernelben(pl usb támogatás és egyéb alap cuccok). Úgyhogy ezt javítani.
->igaza volt Zahy-nak de sarge alatt is így ment az egerem, de próba cseresznye
nem igaz? Reboot->no screen, ismét egér, visszaírtam /dev/psaux lám muxik:)
