Linux-kezdő

A probléma a következő:
A legutóbbi frissítésig minden rendben ment. (Gentoo)
Most az a helyzet, hogy , ha nem fut a hald, akkor bárhová tudok értelmesen írnin (irc, msn, szövszerkesztő, stb...), ellenben nem tudok az optikaira írni (dc/dvd), mert a k3b közli, hogy nincs író. (Persze, hogy nincs, mert a hald nem fut).
Az Amarok meg nem hajlandó hangot produkálni, természetesen azért, mert nem fut a hald.
Ez nem lenne nagy gond: /etc/init.d/hald start
Innentől ír a k3b, és szépen szól az Amarok....csakhogy, bármilyen billentyűt nyomok le, abból hármat kapok. (pl.: a méz akkor mmmééézzz lesz, igaz a backspace is 3 karaktert töröl...), ami nem igazán találkozik abbéli igényeimmel ,hogy perverz módon szövegszerkesztés közben mondjuk muzsikát hallgassak.
Tanácsot szeretnék kérni, hogy mi úton-módon tudnám összehozni úgy, hogy a kecske is jóllakjon és a káposzta is megmaradjon?

A rendszer egyébként debian és a libgpib-bin elméletileg telepítve van.

Nemrég (1 hete?) olvastam itt a HUP-on egy hírt arról, hogy valami fontos ember, akinek számít a szava a linux világban feltett egy kérdést, hogy miért is nem lehetne úgy megépíteni a rendszert, hogy régi linuxos programot is fel lehessen tenni újabb rendszerre és ne legyen belőle dependecy conflict. Sehogy sem találom azt az írást. Nem emlékszik rá valaki?
Kíváncsi vagyok hogy ez még csak ötlet szinten van vagy lett belőle valami? Arra emlékszem, hogy a nagyok lehurrogták szegény csókát, bár nekem tetszik az ötlete...

A kovetkezo problemaval fordulnek hozzatok. Adott egy Debian alapu tuzfal gep, ami internetet (adsl) oszt meg. Ha a szolgaltatonal kieses van, a pppd egy ideig probalkozik, majd kilep. Ergo ha hosszabb ideju a kieses, a tuzfal automatikusan nem epiti ujra a kapcsolatot.
A problema megoldasara feltettem a monit -ot.
Az /etc/monit.d -be tettem egy "ppp" nevu fajlt a kovetkezo tartalommal:

check process pppd with pidfile /var/run/ppp0.pid
start program = "/usr/bin/pon dsl-provider-uj"
stop program = "/usr/bin/poff dsl-provider-uj"


Es a legyeg: tegnap este volt egy hoszabb kimaradas. A monit pedig elinditotta a pppd -t 5 peldanyban. A log -ban a kovetkezo erdekessegeket talaltam.

Namarmost ebbol az derul ki, hogy a pppd meg futott 10488 -as PID -del amikor a monit megprobalta ujra inditani. Van valakinek otlete, hogyan kellene a monit -et rendesen bekonfigolni?

A melóhelyemen ubuntu 9.04-es szolgál(t). Frissítettem 9.10-re.
Elszállt a hang. Kernel driverek helyükön, más hangkártyát betéve ugyanez a helyzet, de a gnome nem volt hajlandó megtalálni. Szórakoztam vele egy csomót aztán meguntam. Úgy gondoltam, hogy egy friss tlelpítés a 9.10-essel megoldja a gondot. Most viszont az a gond, hogy a telepítő nem látja a vinyót, de a gparted a live cd-n minden gond nélkül. Már letöröltöm átrendeztem stb stb. de nem akarja látni. Kérek szépen ötleteket...

Sikerült beüzemelni a WD TV-n a hálózati elérést, látja a megosztásokat, fel is tudja mountolni, de lejátszani csak asztali gépről tud. A Dlink DNS-323-ról nem.
Kvázi lefagy, ha egy nagyobb könyvtárba akarok belépni és ezzel rakja tele a /tmp/messages.txt file-t:

A WD-n Brad féle wdlxtv 0.5.8-as fw van fent, samba app pack-al. A NAS-on a smb.config fájlban át kellet írnom a security mezőt SHARE-ről USER-re, hogy rendesen fel tudjak könyvtárakat mountolni.
Sokak álltal használt BESTCON usb-s ethernet adapterem van nekem is.
Van valami ötletetek erre? Mi okozhatja ezt a problémát?

Nemregiben valtottam Nokia 3410-rol Iphone 3G-re
Hasznaltan jutottam hozza egy darabhoz, 3.1.2es szoftvert sikeresen rafrissitettem.
Viszont sok zenem van jelenlegi pendriverol futo ubuntun (karmic koala) (ceges gepen)

Sokat olvasgattam utanna, hogy lehet syncelni, de az uj iphoneokrol nem talaltam leirast.
iFuseval sikerlt mountolnom a telefont, viszont GTKpod allandoan hibat ir ki, valamint csak 4gbos, 8gbos es xiphone1 model valaszhato csak, az enyem pedig ezeket jocskan meghaladja...

Ha barmelyiket ki is szeretnem valasztani, a kovetkezo hibauzenetet kapom:

Nem tudtam hová tegyem ezt a témát, úgyhogy ide került.

Van nekem két spéci, saját billentyűzetkiosztásom mind konzol, mind grafikus módra. (2 fájl)
Ezek beáll0tásait (tessék itt vannak a gondok)
Ezek beállításait Mandriva rendszeren már álmomban is végrehajtottam.
A konzolos kiosztás helye az /usr/lib/kbd/keymaps/i386/qwerty -ben van, míg az X-es kiosztás az /usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols -ban van.
A beállításokat tekintve eddig elég volt a konzolos kiosztást megadni az /etc/sysconfig/keyboard-ban, míg az X-eset a xorg.conf-ban.

A jó világnak vége, mert nem hajtja végre a dolgokat.
Amiről szó van az a legújabb Mandriva 2010-es disztró.
Úgy tűnik bármi lehet a xorg.conf-ban vagy akár semmi se, úgyis az jön be amit telepítéskor megadtam neki. A gyári lehetőségek közül persze választhatok de nekem azok nem felelnek meg.
