ATI Proprietary Linux Driver 3.14.6

Az ATI pár napja elérhetővé tette a zárt forrású, bináris 3D támogatással bíró linuxos eszközmeghajtó-programjait. PCI-Express! Javított Doom 3 támogatás!Az újdonságok közt szerepel az, hogy támogatást kapunk az ATI által gyártott összes PCI-Express csatolófelülettel rendelkező kártyához.

Javított hibák:

- Doom 3: Random polygons no longer appear throughout the display while playing the game

- 3D Applications no longer fail to respond on RHEL 3.0 with 1GB or more memory installed

- The System no longer fails to respond when moving the mouse around on the screen on some systems

Dicséretes, hogy Doom3-ra gyúrnak, de a Quake3 mikor fog probléma nélkül menni a linux-os driver-eikkel? És mi van a 64 bit-es driverrel, vmikor hajlandóak arra is fordítani egyet?

Valaki nem tenne fel valami elérhető helyre egy 4.3-ashoz valót? A múltkorit sem tudtam napokig leszedni, akkor trey szánt meg :)

És mi van az All-In-Wonder szériával? Tuner illetve bemeneti driver van hozzá, mert mindenki csak a "capture"-t kérdezi, amit -mint írnak- nem tud.

Bár nyilván nem megy a TV része sem, de valaki próbálta már?

Mind 9000Pro-n mind 9600XT-n nagyon sok (ertsd 60%-a a texturaknak), hibas, vagy ki se rakja Oket... Ha be lehet jol loni arra kivancsi lennek, ha tudsz HOWTO-t, ne kimelj! En a SuSE szerinti HOWTO-t hasznalva raktam fel az utolso ket ATI driver-t es mind 2 -vel mind 2 kartyan ugyan olyan ***** volt...

Matthew Tippett az Ati-tol valaszolt nehany dologra a Rage3D forumban. A lenyeg, hogy ez csak egy Hotfix (Doom3), es egy nagyobb release lesz decemberben.

"As I said, this is akin to a *HOT FIX*, and does not replace the standard incremental driver release due every two months. It does *not* represent anywhere near 1 months work, and it does *not* represent part of our standard release process, it merely represents (as stated before) a respin of 3.14.1 with patches from our development tree for the purposes of fixing doom3 stability. Some extra changes were included as an artefact of our development process."

"Be prepared for a reset in the Linux version number with the December Release"
