Szerintetek ez lassú? :)
(Maxtor 40Gb-os 7200RPM-es sima ATA-s cucc)

/dev/hdb:
Timing cached reads: 102 MB in 2.04 seconds = 50.06 MB/sec
Timing buffered disk reads: 16 MB in 3.11 seconds = 5.14 MB/sec

Azért kezdtem nézegetni, mert az az érzésem, hogy belassult. 4000kb/s-el másolok ftp-ről LAN-on, pár napja még 10 000 - 11 000-el másoltam, és a kitömörítés is iszonyat lassú.

Egyébként most tömörítettem ki egy 700mb-os filet. 5perc 13mp-ig tartott..

Vedd hozza hogy ATA. De ha lassult akkor lassult, sok mindent nem lehet tenni. En most tomoritettem ki 6gb-s rar-t (001 , 002), 3 perc volt. De ez sata2... Nemreg raszorultam egy ata-s vinyora, hat mit ne mondjak..turelem es sok szabadido kell hozza.

(smartctl-ben vannak erdekes reszek (marmint amit bevagtal) de ezt majd egy szakember kivizslatja..)

Seagate 120-as ATA:

Timing buffer-cache reads: 128 MB in 0.39 seconds =328.21 MB/sec
Timing buffered disk reads: 64 MB in 1.28 seconds = 50.00 MB/sec

Szoval az ATA azert nem olyan lassu :-)

DMA-t erdemes megnezni, kikapcsolva ui.:

Timing buffer-cache reads: 128 MB in 0.38 seconds =336.84 MB/sec
Timing buffered disk reads: 64 MB in 11.41 seconds = 5.61 MB/sec

Azért nem kéne a PATA-t ennyire leszólni. Nekem 60GB-os Seagate vinyóm 40MB/s-al olvas (Timing buffered disk reads).
Lehet, hogy azért lassú, mert nincs engedélyezve az UDMA.
A SMART alapján jónak tűnik a vinyó, viszont az átvitelnél sokat hibázik. Esetleg egy kábel cserét megpróbálhatnál.
Vagy kipróbálhatnád, hogy egy másik gépben mit tud (vagy windows alatt hogy megy).

Jojo.. Akkor azok a vinyok voltak gyengebb kategoriasak amik nalam jartak. Azok kegyetlen lassuak voltak. Ezek szerint van kivetel rendesen.

nemtom, nekem a dual core gepben is ata wincsi van, nem tunik lassabbnak, mint a sata2 cucc. lehet a 8G ram segit neki ? :D

Ez a vinyó 7 évet ment? Nem bíznék rá sok mindent, ilyet már múzeumban mutogatnak.
Szvsz a DMA nincs bekapcsolva.

ez a hires laposmaxtor, gyorsan ment adatok, aztan nagyivben kukaba, vagy mutogasd penzert, "ebbol is van olyan, ami birta a gyurodest" cimszo alatt.
Maxtor meg lehet fizet is a reklamert.

És ez mért olyan hangos? Olyan enyhén sikító hangja van.

Kikapcsolni, és csipketerítőt rá.
Mehet a vitrinbe.

Pont tíz éves a szál.

Én látom a számokat, értelmezni is tudom őket.

10 evvel ezelotti valaszra erkezett kerdesre alaposan megfontolom a valaszt.
