A Microsoft kiadta az Allegiance névre hallgató játék forráskódját (hihetetlen de igaz). Az Allegiance-t úgy lehetne legjobban jellemezni, hogy egyfajta keveréke a Team Fortress-nek, EverQuest-nek, Wing Commander-nek és a Homeworld-nek.A játékról a FiringSquad készített korábban egy értékelést. A stuff 511MB.

vagyis kereskedelmi célra te nem használhatod a dolgot, viszont amit te belemódosítasz, az az MS-é.

Aztan csak egyszer kell bebizonyitaniuk, hogy lattad a forraskodot es igenyt fognak tartani a mas licensz alatt terjesztett nyilt vagy zart forraskodu programjaidra is.

Volt mar ilyen probalkozasra pelda, pont az M$.

Akarhogy is bizakodtok, az M$ soha nem fog olyan licenszet alkotni, amely nem arra iranyul, hogy igyen neki fejlesszel es o penzt keressen rajtad (anelkul persze, hogy fizetne neked, vagy elismerne a munkadat barmely egyeb mas formaban).

Emiatt a forraskodot meg csak letolteni is eletveszelyes.
