Nem ugy volt hogy csak Ciscot hasznaltok?

ugy volt, es a core switcheink/routereink most is Cisco Nexus 9508-ak.

a problema az, hogy anno megigertek, hogy meg jo lesz par generacion at, aztan mikor megjelentek a 100GbE-os line cardok bele, rogton szoltam is az account managerunknek, hogy shut up and take my money, en vennek parat. erre kis huzavona utan kozoltek, hogy hat bizony a gen1-es fabric moduleokkal nem fog menni a dolog, mondom jo, akkor upgradeljuk mind a 6-ot switchenkent (ez kb egy negyed milla $-os moka, de ezt lenyeltem volna...)
erre kozoltek, hogy hiaba upgradelem, a mostani 40GbE-os line cardjaink (amik a 40GbE-os LC szeria legteteje [volt belole 94, 95, 96, ezek 96-osak]) sajnos nem fognak mukodni az uj gen2-es FMekkel, ugyhogy tudnak ajanlani 1U-s switcheket...

ha meg mar 1U, es nem tudom berakni a 16 slotunk egyikebe se a core switchen, akkor kertem arajanlatokat masoktol is, es a Mellanoxtol olyan ajanlatot kaptam, amire nem tudtam nemet mondani. a 100GbE-os transceiverek nem eppen olcsok sehol, es ha kell belole parszaz darab, akkor nem mindegy, hogy mennyibe kerul :)
