ATI driver - Frame buffer beállítása ???

Hozzászólás megjelenítési lehetőségek

A választott hozzászólás megjelenítési mód a „Beállítás” gombbal rögzíthető.

Hm, ezt nem tudom, a log és a konfig alapján mennie kellene rendesen :(

kérdésem a következő: miért szemeteli össze az ati-m a képernyőt, ha másik konzolra váltok? (ctrl+alt+F2 pl.).

Próba képpen - egy másik vinyómra - felraktam a RedHat 9-et.
Ott a gyorsasággal és az X grafikus gyorsaságával semmi gond nincs.
Ezek után az a nagy kérdés, hogy mitől vánszorog még mindig Debian alatt?
Megpróbáltam a vinyó beállításával (hdparm -u1 -d1 -c3 -m16 -X66 /dev/hdb). Arra gondoltam, hátha az olvasási sebesség is befolyásolja a megjelenítést, de változás nem történt.

Rájöttem... 2.6.9-es kernellel is műveli, de csak akkor, ha az induláskor betölti a kernelbe fordított újabb radeonfb-t. Ha a régi framebuffer devicet hasznalom, akkor ezt nem műveli a radeon 9000-em. Persze ekkor is van némi kellemetlenség, mert consol váltásakor először a fb beállításai íródnak ki a képernyőre, aztán entert nyomva megjelenik a debian:> .
Az ujabb driverrel jobb lenne de akkor meg garbált a képernyő.

Valami ötlet?

Amúgy külföldi fórumokon is láttam, többen panaszkodtak hasonló jelenségre.

Sikerült belőnöm az ATI driverét :-), aztán rájöttem, miért vánszorog az X. Nincs bekapcsolva az fb. Vagy legalábbis állati lassú.
Megnéztem az értékeket a glxgears -al:

420 frames in 6.0 seconds = 70.000 FPS
280 frames in 5.0 seconds = 56.000 FPS
280 frames in 5.0 seconds = 56.000 FPS

Hát ez elég lassú.
Ellenőrizni akartam az fgl_glxgears -al is, és ezt kaptam:

Mi itt a hiba??? Mi az az fbconfig, hol található, és hogyan kell beállítani?

Bocsánat, nem említettem meg a hw paramétereket:
P4 2GHz gép
512MB RAM
ATI Radeon 9200SE

Az X sebességéhez semmi köze a framebuffernek normális esetben.
Ismét kérnék egy config filet és egy X logot, hátha...

ps: ha nem indítasz minden, ehhez a témához kapcsolódó lépésnek új topicot, akkor vissza tudjuk olvasni, mivel hol jársz, mit csináltál eddig.

Hm, hogy érted, hogy vánszorog az X? 2D-ben is lassú?
A kernelből vedd ki az ÖSSZES dri támogatást, ne legyen benne SEMMI dri-vel kapcsolatos, mert ha van, az fglrx nem tudja betölteni a sajátját.
A config OKnak néz ki elsőre, a 3D-nek pedig mennie kellene, ha a dri-t kiveszed a kernelből, és X indítása előtt betöltöd az fglrx modult (modprobe fglrx)

Sajna van egy kis hiba az fglrx modul installálásakor, így a modul sem jött létre (egyébként az ezt megelőző, build_mod alkönyvtárban törtét fordítás sikeresen lement):

Nagyon köszönöm a tanácsokat. Kivettem a kernelből a felesleget, és már működik is. Ezeket kaptam:

Szerintem nem nagyon :-(

Ezen már tényleg csak a kártyacsere gyorsítana sajnos. Nálam a 9600XT Gentoo alatt ilyen tud:
16192 frames in 5.0 seconds = 3238.400 FPS
16062 frames in 5.0 seconds = 3212.400 FPS
20313 frames in 5.0 seconds = 4062.600 FPS
18942 frames in 5.0 seconds = 3788.400 FPS
16409 frames in 5.0 seconds = 3281.800 FPS
16408 frames in 5.0 seconds = 3281.600 FPS

Sajna egy probléma még mindig maradt.
Vagyis : az ablakokat vánszorogva rajzolja a képernyőre...

Mit lehet ez ellen tenni?
