Ubuntu 12.10 "locales" beállítása

A segítségeteket kérem. Próbálom a rossz "locales" beállítást helyrehozni, de úgy látszik "kevés" vagyok hozzá. (Már kissé "szétgugliztam" a szememmet. Az öreg gép miatt (vga-xorg-gnome-stb.), elég sok "ppa"-t kellett +ban felvennem, valószínüleg egyik telepítés "cseszte" el...)

Ja még, hozzátartozik, elég sok helyen kínai írásjelekkel küzdök...???? Egyébként ez egy új telepítés lenne elvileg "szűz" merevlemezre. Nem, nem új, csak "clean all" volt előtte. Ezen a gépen mindig Ubuntu volt!

Futtasd ezt:

és nézd meg, hogy melyik olyan, aminek szted telepítve kell lennie és nincs
(dpkg -l|grep Hungar)

Bocs, de nem ismerem elég jól a linux parancsokat, egy barátomnak próbálok segíteni, aki még annyira sem...

Nem locale-set hanem "set LC_ALL="hu_HU.UTF-8"
Amúgy ha nem vagy biztos abban, amit leírsz, írj be 1 karaktert, és nyomd meg a tabot. ha nem csinál semmit, akkor nyomd meg mégegyszer, és láss csodát, kiírja miket tudsz csinálni.
Ubi ráadásul már kapcsolókat is kiír időnként.

Visszanézve a reconfigure-t...
Keress rá légyszi a libencode-locale-perl csomagra a telepített csomik között. Ha nincs, tedd fel. Valamiért a perl nem tudja átváltani a locale encodingot.
Legalábbis az sem.
Tovább gondolkoztam:
localedef --list-archive <--Ezt a parancsot add ki. Ezután néhány könyvtár tartalmát fogjuk megnézni.

Off: Miért szereted annyira az "idézőjeleket"?

Hát..? Ha a magyar szövegben idegen szót használok, vagy azt toldalékolom akkor kiemelésképpen, vagy - és a "legutolsó" eset, - :) - ha más értelemben használom, mint ami szó eredeti értelme. (Nem biztos, hogy összhangban teszem az akadémikus magyar nyelvtannal...)

Közben keresem én is az okot, egy "gwrite" nevű programot "kikukáztam" mert a kínai karakterek fő forrása lehetett. (--purge + autoremove)
Eltávolítottam egy "amsn"-t is, mert arra úgysem lesz szükség. Az "live-msn"-t a Microsoft "kukázza" éppen ki.)

És igazából azért vágynék az egyszerű szöveges fájlként konfigurálható konfig állományokra. Mennyivel egyszerűbb volt, mint ma az "xml"-, "perl"-, "python"-os megoldások. Bár ha jól működik, persze semmi bajom velük. - (Ízelítő, amikor következetesen használom, persze én sem mindig.)

Miért van ennyi "def." angol? Nekem elég lenne csak az amerikai, esetleg brit és magyar UTF-8 esetleg a latin_2-es támogatás. A többit hogyan lehet az alapértelmezettek közül eltávolítani? Vagy a fejlesztők a különböző "app"-jai igénylik ezt?

Mégegyszer köszönöm, jó pár parancs használatát megtanultam a problémán keresztül a segítségeddel. Le fogom szedni a teljes "locales" szoftver-anyagát és újra feltelepítem. Ha valamilyen konkrét siker is lesz - esetleg tanulságokkal, - azt feltétlenül ideírom. (Soha nincs kedvem rendszert újratelepíteni, pedig gyorsabb lenne. De akkor meg az okok maradnának rejtve, azt még nehezebben viselem mint az okkeresést.)
