A Red Hat ma bejelentette vállalati Linux disztribúciójának 6.1-es kiadását. A Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.1 az első frissítés a 2010. novemberében kiadott RHEL 6-hoz. A teljesítménybeli javuláson kívül a 6.1 számos technológiai frissítést hoz:

  • Additional configuration options for advanced storage configurations with improvements in FCoE, Datacenter Bridging and iSCSI offload, which allow networked storage to deliver the quality of service commonly associated with directly connected storage
  • Enhancements in virtualization, file systems, scheduler, resource management and high availability
  • New technologies that enable smoother enterprise deployments and tighter integration with heterogeneous systems
  • A technology preview of Red Hat Enterprise Identity (IPA) services, based on the open source FreeIPA project
  • Support for automatic failover for virtual machines and applications using the Red Hat High Availability Add-On
  • Integrated developer tools that provide the ability to write, debug, profile and deploy applications without leaving the graphical environment
  • Improvements to network traffic processing to leverage multi-processor servers that are getting increasingly common

BTW, nyáron jön valaki az ULX-hez RH300-ra? Nem szeretném, ha megint elmaradna mert nincs elég jelentkező!

Nálam is ez a helyzet, majd valahogy beszuszakolom a dolgot idén ...
Májustól elvileg már a RHEL6-on megy az oktatás. Eddig én sem erőlködtem, hogy meg kéne újítani, vártam, hogy RHEL6-on lehessen megcsinálni.

Koszi. :) Igazabol a kerdes azt takarta, hogy egy tanfolyam es vizsga ara nem hiszem, hogy titkos informacio, ellenben a ceg eleteben fontos beveteli forras lehet, hiszen hivatalos RH forgalmazo, ezert nem ertem miert nincs kint a honlapon errol valami reszletes tajekoztatas (es ettol nem is szimpatikus az egesz).

Ezt az intergalaktikus innovációt! Eddig mi volt, nem volt a VM-eknek failover? :)

volt. corosync + pacemaker OCF-ben, viszont volt, amit nem tudott, most "hivatalosan" tudja és különben is, valamit mindig be kell jelenteni, mint újdonság. Egyébként Ubuntun is tudta, "csak" le kellett tölteni ocf-et, és megfelelő pacemakert.

viszont a RedHat filozófia/marketing ahogy észrevettem az, hogy amit bejelentenek ahhoz van menedzsment felület - gui/console - ami redhat-es, és legalább egy releaseban már megjelent. ami ott tapasztalat, előkerülő hiba, azt javítják és hirtelen új feature lesz belőle.
