Csak a sajat tapasztalataimat tudom elmondani:

En egy ideig a 2.4.6-os kernelt hasznaltam, meg voltam vele elegedve. Szepen mukodott, nem volt vele semmi bajom. Aztan jott a ptrace bug (local root exploit, local DoS) es igaz othon mindegy lett volna de kicsereltem a kernelemet egy 2.4.17-re.

A gep amit hasznalok:

A gepben van egy 13GB, es egy 20GB-os HDD. A /boot (40MB) kivetelevel az egesz filerendszerem ReiserFT (kb. 8 honapja). A gepen futo disztribucio Debian Woody. 4.xx Xfree86 fut nalam, WindowMaker-rel.

Amire a gepet hasznalom:

A gepen levo kernel a Molnar Ingo fele schedulerrel van patchelve, es melle meg a Riel fele -rmap12e VM-et hasznalom. HA tudom akkor tobbnyire a Cox fele -ac kerneleket hasznalom, mert szerintem azok sokkal jobbak (megint csak privat velemeny).

A gepem altalaban kikapcsolas nelkul megy, napkozben iRC, Opera, ftp, divx encode, stb. funkciokat lat el. ADSL kapcsolattal.

Ezeket azert irtam le, mert nekem ez a 2.4.17 kernellel megy (igaz kicsit patchelve) de nekem tulajdonkeppen semmi bajom nincs a kernellel. Teszi a dolgat, nem fagy, igaz komolyabb teljesitmenyt (a 3D jatekokat kiveve) nem is akarok kicsiholni belole.

Ezenkivul szamos gepemen hasznalok meg Linuxot, ezek tobbnyire tuzfalak, SQUID web-cache-el ellatva, szepen mennek ezek komolyabb terhelessel is, akar 200 napokat is (csak kernelcserekor vannak lekapcsolva).

Ezek az en tapasztalataim, akinek van mas az irja meg. Ezt megteheted a www.linuxgames.com FTP szervererol. Hogy van-e kimondottan linux cd UT-bol azt nem tudom, de a www.linuxgames.com-on utana tudsz nezni. A loki games foglalkozott egyebkent ezeknek jatekoknak a portolasaval, terjesztesevel, de a loki sajnos csodbe ment =(.
