DELL TFT monitor gond

Egy DELL620-as laptopra 10.3 Suset tettem, amihez egy külső DELL E197FP TFT monitor csatlakozik. A Yast hardware része szépen föl is ismeri a külső monitort, azt mondja hogy 1280X1024 felbontást állít be neki - ami helyes - de nem azt csinálja amit mond. Valójában 1280X768 felbontást ákllít be, és semmiképp nem tudom rávenni, hogy ne tegye ezt, hanem a helyes felbontást állítsa be. Hol lehetne ezt kézzel jól beállítnai? A video kártya Intel 945 GM. (bocs az alapszintű kérdésért.) A.F.

Volt már hasonló problémám, a "915resolution" telepítése volt a megoldás.

Ha beírom, hogy 915resolution -l akkor szépen kíírja a modekat amik között ott van a Mode 58 = 1280X1024 felbondtás. Be is tudom ezt állítani, csak éppen miután újraindítom az X-et, visszaáll 1280X768-ra. A laptop a saját displayével 1280X800-as felbontásban jól működik, csak ezzel a külső monitorral rakoncátlankodik. Az xorg.conf-ban ez van, nem tudom ez mond-e valami értelmeset:
