Gaël Duval, a Mandrake Linux (napjainkban Mandriva) megalkotója azoknak indította el tavalyelőtt /e/ nevű okostelefon ROM-ját, akik meg akarnak szabadulni a Google-től (Android) és az Apple-től (iOS). Az /e/ LineageOS fork. A projekt mögött álló /e/ foundation ma bejelentette, hogy saját app store-t indít, ahol - az ígéret szerint - majd minden alkalmazás egyenlő bánásmódban részesül és ahol az alkalmazásfejlesztők több pénzt kereshetnek, mint az (Apple) App Store-ban vagy a (Google) Play Store-ban.
