A 3.4 GHz-re húzott Intel Core Duo veri a 7.2 GHz-en futó P4-et

Felbukkanóban vannak az interneten ez első Core Duo overclock eredmények. Az egyik szerint egy 2.16 GHz-en futó Core Duo T2600-as felhúzva veri a világbajnok overclock-olt P4-et.

Módosított hűtést használva a tulajdonosnak sikerült felhúznia a processzort 3.4 GHz-re, és ~17 másodperc alatt futtatnia a CPU intenzív 1 MB-os SuperPi számítást és ezzel verve a korábbi világrekordot, amelyet Tom Holck tartott egy 7.2 GHz-re húzott P4 670-nel.

Összehasonlításképp írom ide, hogy nálam egy 2800 Mhz -es Celeron D -n
(Prescott mag) az 1 MB -os 66 sec. alatt futott le, míg az 512 Kbyte -os
30 sec. alatt.

... és a végtelen ciklus is lefutott rajta 24 másodperc alatt.
