So here we are, and the 6.5 release cycle continues to look entirely normal.
In fact, it's *so* normal that we have hit on a very particular (and
peculiar) pattern with the rc4 releases: we have had *exacty* 328
non-merge commits in rc4 in 6.2, 6.3 and now 6.5. Weird coincidence.
And honestly, that weird numerological coincidence is just about the
most interesting thing here. Because rc5 looks like the usual thing:
driver updates (perhaps a bit more spread out than usual, but that's
because of pulls from all of Greg's trees), arch updates, and random
fixes elsewhere (filesystems, rtmutex, kvm selftests, documentation
etc).

I'm not complaining. Boring release candidates is exactly what I want.

Most már kint van az RC5 is. Amiért hozzászólok, az az, hogy egyes 6.5-ös funkciók vissza lettek portolva 6.4 és 6.3-as kernelekbe. A 6.4.7 óta vettem észre, és ez tart a 6.4.8-on, hogy a Ryzen 6800H-s gépem 10-12 fokkal hűvösebb üresjáratban, mint előtte. Ez a default bekapcsolt AMD P-state driver eredménye, nem is gondoltam volna, hogy ennyit számít. Pedig anélkül sem volt forró annyira a proci, 48-50 fok körül, ez laptopból nem annyira rossz, de most meglepett, hogy még ettől is 10-12 fokkal hűvösebb, ekkora különbséget nem vártam. Visszavett teljesítményprofilon van majdnem 15 fok is a különbség. Terhelésen nem veszek észre akkora diffit, de pár fokkal mintha akkor is kevésbé melegedne.
