The RIPE Network Coordination Centre (RIPE NCC) is one of five Regional Internet Registries (RIRs) providing Internet resource allocations, registration services and coordination activities that support the operation of the Internet globally. The organisation is set up as a not-for-profit association and the working language is English. The environment is internationally orientated, with staff from more than 20 countries.

The overall goal of this function is to process requests for service sent by RIPE NCC customers and to play a proactive role in the implementation, promotion and development of global Internet addressing policies.

This position is based in the Registration Services Department at our offices in the centre of Amsterdam.
General Duties:

* Process all types of IP and AS number resource requests.
* Handle all mailbox and telephone communications for support and requests for services.
* Update the RIPE Database and promote its correct use.
* Ensure the fair and appropriate application of RIPE Internet policies and the implementation of the RIPE NCC’s procedures within its service region.
* Advise RIPE NCC members of best practice as Local Internet Registries.
* Actively contribute to the development of procedures in the Registration Services Department.
* Deliver training, advice and support to customers and staff regarding the role of the RIPE NCC and the effective use of the services of the Registration Services Department.
* Prepare statistics, presentations and policy proposals etc. for the RIPE community.
* Provide exemplary customer service support for members accessing RIPE NCC services.
* Perform other tasks to fulfil the objectives of the Registration Services Department and the RIPE NCC, as directed by management.

Essential Qualifications:

In addition to the general qualifications outlined on our website, we are specifically looking for:

* Minimum of two years experience in the IT Industry.
* Knowledge of wide area networks and Internet technologies in relation to Internet number resources.
* A high standard of written and spoken English to the level of a native speaker.

Desirable Qualifications:

* Knowledge of Internet number resource distribution policies within the RIPE NCC service region.

Salary:

The annual salary for this position is between €37,751 and €45,684 (before tax). This includes the standard 8% annual 'holiday pay' and a 5% end-of-year bonus. Monthly salary is between €2,784 and €3,369 (before tax).
