RESPONSIBILITIES:

The primary function of this role is as an enterprise Linux engineer designing, implementing and supporting several enterprise applications and systems including:

• Enterprise applications deployed on Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems (RHEL 5.x/6.x and Oracle Enterprise Linux 5.x and 6.x).
• Web application environments (Apache/TomCat).
• Java development tools, applications, environments and support.
• Single Sign On (SSO) solutions - delegated authentication and SAML knowledge desirable.
• Version control systems such as Perforce and SVN.
• FTP/FTPS/SFTP services (VSFTP, ProFTPd and Tumbleweed).
• SMTP mail gateway systems and infrastructure (Symantec Brightmail Gateways, Postfix).

Desirable but not essential:

• Proxy infrastructures.
• LDap and Kerberos authentication.
• PKI/SSL/TLS knowledge.
• Network debugging and troubleshooting with products such as TcpDump and WireShark.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate will have at least 7 years practical experience in supporting IT infrastructure systems with a proven track record of at least three years engineering and supporting Linux systems in a heterogeneous, multi geographically located infrastructure.
