Először is egy apt-get install euro-support -ot nyomtam (Debian Woody). A csomag szépen felment.
Ha már fenn van teszteljük le:

Ezek után legenerált egy log -ot, hogy a billentyűzetem, és a rendszerem támogatja az EURO szimbólumot. Hurrá =).

aztan hogyha ugyanezt konzol alatt csinalod akkor is mukodik-e?
es hogyha mukodik, akkor vajon a regi jol beallitott hosszu ő es ű is megmaradt-e olyannak, amilyen volt, vagy csunya hullamos/kalapos lett?

Természetesen console alatt is tökéletesen működik a dolog. A magyar hosszú ű és hosszú ő se lett kalapos, tökéletes minden.
