Okay. Nálam a mass production azt jelenti hogy megrendelem és pár napon belül megkapom. :)

Az hogy lerakták ezt a telefont az asztalra az szép teljesítmény, csak a hozzáférhetősége jottányit sem javult hosszú évek alatt sem. Vagyis megrendelem és elkezdhetek imádkozni hogy megérkezik-e fél éven belül. Ez szerintem sokakat visszatart a vásárlástól. Legalább egy pár ezres készletet kéne tartani meg egy jelzőkét arról hogy vállalt szállítás: 4-8 hét. De az hogy "maybe in a few months" az elég durva.

Amit csinalnak az szepen lassan a termek halalahoz fog vezetni. Ertem en, hogy tutira jatszanak es kb 0 stock level mellett adnak el telefonokat de mint ahogy azt a kollega is irta ez sokakat elrettent a vasarlastol. Mindenkinek minden kell azonnal. Nincs az az isten, hogy en egy piszlicsare termek kapcsan honapokat varjak. En heteket se vagyok hajlando varni inkabb megveszem dragabban csak szallitsak azonnal raktarrol. Es ezzel nem vagyok egyedul.

Hát, a legtöbb telefongyártó megtervezi, bejelenti, bemutatja az új modellt (amit azonnal meg is lehet venni), mire innen megjön az eredeti rendelés...

Szerintem a mai világban, pláne IT eszköznél (ami majdnemhogy elavul, mire a gyártósor végén dobozba teszik az első példányt) vicc a több hónap várokozás. Autót hamarabb gyártanak le egyedi rendelésre, és az egy-két nagyságrenddel több alkatrész, idő és pénz...

Hiába nyílt szoftver meg kapitalizmus-mentesség, ez így nem lesz hosszú életű. Pontosabban így nem fog elterjedni, csak egy pár nagyon fanatikus hívő sajátja marad.

Tenyleg mi ujsag van a szuper Librem 5 csodaval? Lassuk csak:

  • However, the software causes problems with the Librem 5: The device or the WLAN crashed several times when we first deactivated WLAN and Bluetooth and then tried to reactivate them. The promised and expected fast switching on and off of the functions can hardly be used in this way. Only a restart lets us surf the Internet again. This is surprising in view of laptops with WLAN hardware switches, the support of which is actually not a problem under Linux distributions
     
  • Regardless of the switches, we always have problems with the radio connections. The Bluetooth connection to one of our headsets may only run with delays and annoying audio artifacts. The WLAN sometimes just crashes spontaneously and is apparently very prone to interference. For example, two wooden doors in the apartment are enough to break the connection to the access point, which does not happen with Linux laptops or Android phones.
     
  • At startup, we had the problem that the Librem 5's clock was stuck in 2062. Switching on the network synchronization in the settings did not change anything. Ultimately, we were only able to solve the synchronization problem via the command line in order to receive updates or correct TLS connections in the browser at all
     
  • some YouTube videos can be viewed, but not in full screen mode. Sometimes it is not possible to change the resolution or the browser freezes when the YouTube options are displayed
     
  • The internal speakers are, however, significantly worse than those of other standard smartphones and make an uncomfortable rattle
     
  • In addition to the problems described, the smartphone lacks apps above all. So far, only a few of the Gnome apps have been optimized for smartphone viewing, not to mention other open source apps such as the Messenger Signal. Other apps that have also been adapted may not feel as if they were well optimized for mobile use.

    In addition, only a numeric PIN can be set up as an access block. This should be quite easy to crack via a brute force attack

Nem érted, ez a telefon egy szűk rétegnek készült, akinek nem fontos a kamera, a normális működés a mindennapokban, illetve az ábra szerint a biztonság sem.
