Interesting way to search and visualize Flickr images

Egér görgövel lehet ki/be nagyítani, bal gombbal forgatni a nézetet. Ez a tag bolygó rendszer a hiphop keresésre jött. A kisérő bolygók a további gyakori kapcsolodó tag -ek. Több mélységig mászkálhatunk vagy beléphetünk középen. Én a graffiti bolygó rendszert vizsgálgattam.

What Richard Stallman Thinks the First Words on Mars Should be

This is just priceless, I stumbled upon an interesting science website:

"We asked a large range of famous celebrities - and people who we think should be celebrities - what they thought the first words on Mars would be. Here’s a selection of the best we received. Where applicable, the category they wrote their words for has been shown."

And guess who was interviewed? Yes, good ol’ RMS:

“Here we can share music!”

Google -ban frissességi szűrés bekapcsolása

Filtering Google searches by time periods has been one of the most frequently requested features. By manipulating the search URL, you can trigger Google's 'filter by data dropdown box' to appear. With this drop down box, you can easily select what time dates you want Google to filter the results.

First goto Google and enter your search term. Next, add '&as_qdr=d' to the end of the URL and press enter. A dropdown box will appear.

A grunge design titkai

Nyugodtan hívhatnánk szórólap stílusnak is.

A Smashing Magazin egy komoly összeállítást csinált grunge ügyben ->

Szemmel vezérelt játék

Researchers at the UK's De Montfort University are creating software that would enable GAMERS TO PLAY USING ONLY THEIR EYES. The software would control LED lights mounted at the bottom of a PC display and sensors that used the reflected light to figure out where the player was looking. "Gestures," such as quickly glancing to one side of the screen, could switch modes. Although the technology is aimed at handicapped people, the technology could also be used by super-gamers who might play faster using eye-control.

Házi készítésű riasztó AK-47 -esel

Who needs a fancy security system for their home? Not Hanif Molavizadeh! This enterprising Afghani set up his own DIY burglar alarm in his home that sports an AK-47 to make sure no one breaks in. If it senses somebody nearby, it'll call his phone and let him talk to the potential intruder via a speaker. If they don't leave, he can fire the rifle remotely, which would scare off any but the braves of thieves.

IBM develops new memory that holds 100 times more data than current memory

Thanks to IBM scientists—who says Intel does all the heavy lifting these days?—we may soon have portable devices that can hold more than 100 times more data than they currently do. The comparison that’s been thrown around is, imagine an iPod with a 500,000 song capacity. (The iPod classic holds 40,000 songs.) Nirvana, I agree. IBM’s calling the new type of memory “racetrack,” which works, in so far as it can be plained to non-physicists, by using the spin of an atom. Oh.

What’s even better about racetrack is that, while, like Flash, it has no moving parts, it can write and re-write without flaking out, unlike Flash, which can only withstand but so many re-writes before failing.

Jack Bauer ébresztő órája

After several weekends of "24" marathons it's clear that the best parts are when Jack Bauer is forced to disable a bomb in less than 30 seconds. Now you can join in the torturous, war weary, gravel-voiced fun of a burnt out CTU agent with your very own Danger Bomb Clock. Each morning the alarm clock can only be stopped by figuring out a new code that is randomly generated every day. If you fail to disable the clock in time an explosion sound goes off, giving you that glorious "code orange" start to the day. $30.59

Microsoft patches the SP1 for Vista patch :)

Microsoft released a service pack for Windows Vista because Vista kind of sucked as it shipped. The service pack, SP1, made many people’s Vista installs reboot permanently. So then it released an SSU (Servicing Stack Update) that Vista users were supposed to install before the SP1. This caused many people even more problems. So Microsoft today has announced a second patch, a pre-SSU update, that is to be installed before the SSU that is to be installed before SP1.

In other words Microsoft has issued a patch for its patch of its patch for its flagship OS. Ta-da!

Moduláris Windows 7 (suck for you)

There is a growing consensus of opinion forming that Windows "Seven" will be "modular," the concept being that you buy the core OS first and then add to it individual "modules" with logically distinct units of functionality. There are two ways the OS could be modularized in such a fashion, the first being that it could be split into functional "roles," such as "music" or "movies" or "mail & chat." The other option, which is a bit more radical, would be to build on the "Windows Live" software that updates/replaces some of the OS components. For example, Vista's Windows Photo Gallery is replaceable with Windows Live Photo Gallery. The Live version is similar in concept, but includes greater online integration and features.
