Using the same GPU for gaming on both linux host and windows guest

This video shows how it is possible to use secondary GPU for both gaming on the host and the guest without resetting xorg inbetween.

There'll be three ways to run games shown:
Bumblebee/OpenGL 1:08
PCI passthrough/Looking glass 4:45
nvidia-xrun/DXVK 7:59

Before I get too far. Bumblebee doesn't support Vulkan/DXVK at the moment. Also the project does not seem to be too active.

Hearing all the hype around Vulkan and DXVK for gaming got me really interested in trying to test them. Having setup PCI passthrough for gaming and giving the GPU solely to the windows guest just didn't seem enough anymore.

I got more inspiration after seeing how this could work in a video from djazz.

Installation steps that it took me to get this to work can be found here:

All three had Overwatch run on ultra preset.

thx

mindkét gput (host / kvm-qemu pcie passtru) ugyanazon monitor két bemenetére kötöm, és a monitor input selector funkciójával váltok köztük (hid deviceok evdev passtruval mennek)

ennek alternatívája looking glass lehetne, ha lenne bármilyen gyakorlati haszna
