The Role
We are our own client, continuously evolving our own system. The IT platform which is
fundamental in all aspects of what we do is designed, developed and maintained in-house and
although it is already great, we plan to make it even better.
This role will allow the successful candidate a lot of autonomy; the job itself revolves around
designing and coding the front-end of a very complex user interface for an Intranet/Extranet
application. CognoLink's business requires very large amounts of information to be presented to
internal users, and complex logic to interact with it. A well-designed interface is crucial to
efficiency, quality, and happiness.
The team work Agile-style, in short release cycles, with daily Scrum meetings. Technology-wise,
everything is based on a LAMP platform. We rely on sound and clean architectures, smart tools
and painless interfaces, and you will have freedom to choose the technologies on which to base
the front-end.

The Role
All our activities revolve around our IT systems, which are purposely developed in-house to deal efficiently with our unusual industry requirements. On the development side, we are our own client, continuously evolving ourown system to support our aggressive growth.
The position advertised consists mainly of designing and developing around workflow automation, complex
ergonomics, search tools and graph exploration. It offers a lot of autonomy and technical ownership and you will be involved early on in the specification process in conjunction with operational and commercial teams.
The whole development team is based in our central London office. We follow a classic Agile methodology, with
short release cycles, daily Scrum meetings, with usually one or two main project and a dozen or so minor
projects or features per sprint per developer.
Technology-wise, everything is Web-based, LAMP platform with some server applications like search engines
and I/O filters. We rely more on sound architecture and great coding than technological gimmicks but we will be glad to have you push any technology, methods or processes that you see fit for a given task.
