The Institute for Computer Sciences, Social-Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering (ICST), the leading European ICT society dedicated to sponsoring ICT related research, innovation, business, technologies and their advancement in all sectors of society, is looking for:

SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR

General Description:

To support its expansion in Budapest, ICST is looking for a well organized, energetic, talented, and responsible System Administrator. Reporting directly to the head of IT, the persons will be responsible for administering all operational servers within our platform, which includes infrastructure, system configuration, and operating systems. This function also includes developing the platform through PHP or JAVA programming as part of the web developing team.

Professional Skills:

* Proven track record (2 years minimum) of professional experience with high availability UNIX/LINUX systems (preferably in an international company)
* Experience operating LAMP systems (open source web platforms) preferably with MySQL based virtual hosting architecture.
* PHP and/or JAVA programming skills
* BASH scripting knowledge is a must
* Proven experience in administering Postfix, MySQL, Tomcat, Courier, NFS, BIND, and Samba Server
* Unix, Linux, and Windows OS operational knowledge
* Proven management on proper documentation and processes
* Proven experience of running secure platforms
* Clear operational understanding of storage and backup facilities, with regard to implementation and maintenance
* Proven experience on HP/SUN Servers, OpenVPN, Cisco routers and Cisco VPN
* General knowledge with office infrastructure and management
* Fluency in written and spoken English

* Analytical and strategic, and very proactive and solution orientated
* A team player, but also capable of handling major tasks independently
* Ability to work under time and tasks pressure, and to deliver on projects according to pre-set deadlines
* Able to make business decisions based on knowledge and operational risks
