FreeBSD's ZFS is a straight port of Sun's ZFS, so we would have them
same problems Solaris users would eventually have, but as far as I know
nothing has been decided yet.

I'm against software patents altogether. Other than that, no comments,

Yes. This will be the version, which is currently in the HEAD branch.
I've a huge amount of changes (mostly functional and some performance
improvements) waiting in my perforce branch, but I'll wait with them
until after 7.0 is released, as we are quite happy with ZFS stability in
FreeBSD 7-CURRENT.
