For our multinational client operating in the Bank sector we are looking for a Wintel Application Expert, who is responsible for all components of the Bank’s billing system and Global Operations systems, which are hosted primarily on the Wintel platform. The job will also involve general operational duties for the system as a whole.
Tasks:
• Monitoring of all Wintel tiers within the applications.
• Monitoring of interaction between all Wintel tiers within the applications and of those external/non-Wintel components that interact directly with any Wintel Tier.
• Preparation of metrics and reporting of performance and issues of all Wintel based applications and sites within the group’s domain
• Resolution of issues where possible, else to perform sufficient investigation and analysis to pass on to the development team, or external/non-Wintel component support team to enable them to resolve the issue effectively
• Support of users that use the web front ends
• Update of all informational-based websites within the group’s domain
• Tracking of current Compliance standards, and monitoring of all Wintel components to ensure they satisfy all standards
Requirements:
• Relevant College or University degree
• Fluency in both written and verbal English
• Excellent MS SQL 2000 DBA skills, with some development skills to aid troubleshooting
• Knowledge of C#.Net and ASP.Net
• Preferably Microsoft certified (i.e. MCAD or MCDBA, or MCSA with SQL Server)
• Excellent understanding of the Microsoft architecture
• Good understanding of multi-tiered application design
• Good problem solving ability, overcoming obstacles and challenges
