Egyszer telepítettem 5 perc erejéig Vibert telefonomra, mert valamelyik balfasz kitalálta, hogy az esti sörözésre azon keresztül kell csoportot létrehozni. Még be sem fejeződött a telepítés, máris jött két üzenet két contact-omtól, hogy Hello. A faszom se akart ilyet:
Does Viber notify your contacts when you join?
Yes but only when you join Viber for the first time. When you first sign up to Viber, the app will notify any contacts you have who also use Viber that you joined. This is a ‘helpful’ feature designed to encourage all of you to use Viber. However, it isn’t so useful if you still have contacts in your phone who you don’t want to speak to.
If you buy a new phone and add Viber to it, the app will not notify your contacts. It is only as a new user.
Can you prevent this from happening?
Not officially. Viber uses this method to get you using the app. If your contacts know you also use Viber, you are all more likely to use it. There is a potential workaround though.
You could remove them as a contact in your phone to work around this. Back up your contacts in iTunes or Google Drive, install Viber and let it notify the contacts you don’t mind knowing you use it. Then you can add the other contacts afterwards if you want to.
