Tehat az in, ing mozgassal kapcsolatos fogalom.

Verb, azaz ige kepzo, vagy ahogy a szotar fogalmaz: "a word used to describe an action, state, or occurrence, and forming the main part of the predicate of a sentence, such as hear, become, happen."
Ugy tunik, hogy az angol "-ing" suffix a magyarul is ertheto "in", "ing" kozos osbol / atvetelbol fejlodott ki.
Na de ez biztos csak veletlen egybeeses! Nezzuk meg az "-ing" etimologiajat!

Szoval az angol "-ing" igekepzo ("sleep-sleeping", "hunt-hunting", "write-writing"), igekepzo mely cselekvest, (idobeli) mozgast fejez ki, ugy nez ki, hogy "-ingo" alakban is letezett, mely megint csak kisertetiesen hasonlit az "ingo-magasbol mozgo, folyamatosan mozgo" szavunkhoz. A PIE alak az "e-i" es a "g-k" zonges-zongetlen megfeleltetes miatt hangozhatott "-ingau"-nak is, ami megint csak eleg kozeli talalat az "ingo", "in-go", mozgast kifejezo magyar szoosszetetelhez.
Ahhoz az "ingo", "ing" szohoz, aminek a jelentese rejtelyes modon hianyzik az Etimologiai szotarbol.
